The illari Specialty Threads™ line provides effective treatments for the eyes, brows, nose, and other areas of the face. This line includes specialized thread options for some of the most challenging and demanding areas for thread providers to deliver the result that their patients desire.

illari EYE-Z™

Advanced Technology Cog Thread Suture for Eyes

illari EYE-Z™ uses a blunt cannula (W-Type) to carefully insert an absorbable barbed thread in deep, subcutaneous layers of skin around the eye to create lifting of either the lateral brow or corner of the eyes. illari Cogs has incorporated the new V1 and V2 technologies which are bi-directional barbs in opposite directions creating superior strength within tissues as well as attaching to tissue so the lifting effect stays in place and is easily controlled by the injector.

illari EYE-Z™ uses a combination of an 21G or 19G blunt cannula and press molded cog thread. Molding Cog Type threads are made by being pressured into the specially designed molds without damage. In this manner our threads show superior tensile strength and anchoring effect compared to the regular cutting type cog threads of other manufacturers.

Topical and injectable anesthesia is strongly recommended for the treatment such as Lidocaine and Epi. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.

illari Micro F™

Specialty Thread Suture for Below or Around Eyes

illari Micro F™ uses a blunt cannula (W-Type) for added safety around the eyes or in highly vascularized areas to reduce the risk of edema and bruising. This specialty thread is designed to create collagen remodeling and added support for lateral eye brow lifts and contouring of sensitive areas.

illari Micro F™ reduces the risk of adverse events associated with needle placement and allows for small precision placement of the PDO Threads. A simple 27G needle stick for the injection port is needed for the placement of the 30G thread.

Only topical anesthesia is needed for the injection. Bruising in these sensitive areas is drastically reduced though swelling and edema may occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.

illari Nose Cog™

Full Face & Body

illari Nose Cog™ uses a specially designed 19G and 23G blunt cannula to safely penetrate into the nose structure for ease of placement and less trauma to tissues giving natural looking results with less brusing and more control.

  • 19G*38mm and 23G*38mm are the most commonly used to raise the nose tip, and its 60mm cobra cog thread is folded in half for 25mm and 35mm of bi-directional insertion.
  • 19G*50mm and 23G*60mm is primarily designed for insertion from end tip of the nose in the direction of the glabella area to add more volume, and it uses half fold 70mm sliced cog threads.

The contouring COG Nose PDO thread is commonly used for recontouring the profile or shape of the nose to give a more symmetrical look for patients. This specialty Barbed (COG) suture activates easily with the bi-direction action and has increased adhesion ability to lift and contour tissue.

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about 6-8 months for its full biodegradation after insertion and upon insertion stimulates collagen production during that period of time. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months depending upon the patient and indication corrected.

Topical anesthesia is strongly recommended for patients receiving the treatment. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and transient bruising may occur but varies for each patient, treatment area, and injection technique.

illari Multi-Braided Mesh™
(I-MBM™)

Maximal Volume for Facial and Body Indications

illari Multi-Braided Mesh™ (I-MBM™) Threads are multiple PDO threads braided as a mesh structure with a 19G blunt cannula. This braid of smooth threads drastically increases the thread structure's contact area after insertion to maximize the stimulation of collagen production and volumizing effect. This has the same effect in maximizing the skin volumizing effect of placing multiple PDO threads with a single insertion. Twisted threads closely attached give a wider area of fibrous connective tissues to develop and threads take a longer time before biodegrading when they are closely attached.

illari Multi-Braided Mesh™ (I-MBM™) Threads are to be placed into the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to promote the production of collagenous connective tissues around the inserted threads.

PDO (Polydioxanone) threads generally last about 8-10 months for its full biodegradation after insertion and upon insertion stimulates collagen production during that period of time. The result from this collagen stimulation may last up to 12-24 months depending upon the patient and indication corrected.

Topical anesthesia is strongly recommended for the treatment. Swelling and edema may last 3-5 days after treatment and Transient bruising may occur but is different for each patient and treatment indication.

Popular Indications for Treatment
